Leandro is a post-doctoral research fellow in the Wave Group as a part of the RESOURCECODE project. Leandro have completed his PhD at The KU Leuven University, Belgium in 2015 in the field of dinamycs of nonlinear waves with a specific interest in the modulation instability mechanism in both finite and deep water depths. During his PhD, Leandro carried out experiments at Marintek Institute located in Tronhein, Norway and at Plymouth University wave basin. His first post-doctoral position was carried out at University of Toulon, France, where the main topic of research was the effect of a linearly sheared current on the formation of rogue waves in Fourier space. As a part of the RESOURCECODE project, Leandro is currently working on the parametrization of Wavewatch III model.
